The Property & Campus Services is responsible to the University of Melbourne, for managing all construction projects in accordance with the Project Management and Design Standards, the requirements of the University's Policies and Procedures, the requirements of Statutory Authorities, Government Legislation, Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia.

There are of course instances, such as in the provision of loose furniture, when approval can be given by Property & Campus Services for departments to carry out works directly. However departments should always contact Property & Campus Services first when considering any works.
