PermitsStaff MembersStaff members can apply for a parking permit by filling in the application form: Parking Permit Application Form (PDF, 51kb) . For Staff members who are full time or contract, the parking permit can be salary sacrificed(Currently $33.23 per pay (2008 Price)), a HR32 form will be required and can be attached to the Parking Permit Application form and brought to the Traffic & Parking Office. Link to HR32 form The Traffic & Parking Office will advise what carparks are available at the time of application. If your preferred carpark is not available, you can apply to be on the waiting list. Link to Waiting List Form StudentsStaff members Students can apply for an After Hours parking permit by filling in the application form: Parking Permit Application Form (PDF, 51kb) When applying at the Traffic & Parking Office you will require your student ID card and $20.00 processing fee. Melbourne Uni Sports Club MembersStaff members Students Melbourne Uni Sports Club Members can apply for a parking permit by filling in the application form: Parking Permit Application Form (PDF, 51kb) When applying at the Traffic & Parking Office you will require your Sports Club Membership Card. Exceptions for parking on campus without the above classification are:On Medical grounds and PregnancyA medical certificate must be obtained from Health & Counseling at 138 Cardigan Street Carlton ; an appointment is necessary, call 8344 6904. The certificate should state whether it is permanent or temporary and if temporary must have a time frame otherwise the application can not be processed. A parking permit application form is also required: Parking Permit Application Form (PDF, 51kb) For a permit on Pregnancy grounds, the permit can be issued from 6 months (26 weeks). A certificate from your Doctor stating your confinement date is required. There is a fee for these permits; however students may be exempt if approved by the Student Program Advisory Services. Student will need to make an appointment first with Student Program Advisory Services ( ext 8344-6550 ) and they will ascertain if the student is eligible or not to receive this exemption. Waiting ListPreference is given to senior staff on waiting lists, with seniority being based on HEW / Pay Level and then by the date that the waiting list application was made. As the waiting list is organised in this manner, it is not possible to advise a position on the list as it will change based on new applications being made. In smaller carparks it will take longer to obtain a permit as there are fewer changes, hence we can not sell more permits then what we have available. Cancelling a permitYour permit and access card must be returned to the Traffic & Parking Office along with a completed HR32 form to cease salary packaging. Your pay will be credited back any additional payments made, please be aware, due to payroll cut off times, this may not occur in the next pay period. Suspending a permitParking access can only be suspended for a minimum of two consecutive months. Your permit and access card must be returned to the Traffic & Parking Office along with a completed HR32 form to cease salary packaging. Note: If your access card is also used for building access, parking will be deleted and the card will be returned immediately. Remotes have a $60.00 deposit (From 2008, previously $50.00) and you will require a working remote and receipt to obtain a refund of the deposit. If you break or damage the remote, you will not receive a refund of the deposit. |
