The ECO Structure

The following chart represents the Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) structure showing where the BEC and Floor Wardens fit in.

In the majority of University buildings a "Deputy BEC", or several Deputy BEC's are appointed to act as the BEC if he or she is absent.

Changes of Staff

It is very important to let your BEC know if you want to stop being a Warden. Likewise, if you are a BEC and want to stop in that role, please contact the Emergency Management Coordinator. If your entire group is moving out of a building significantly changing the Warden system, please contact the Emergency Management Coordinator to explain what will be changing.
