If all staff accept that fire prevention is their responsibility, the potential for fires can be greatly reduced and the severity of any fire that does start will be minimised. Training in the use of fire extinguishers and fire hose reels will help staff prevent a fire from becoming larger or even better, to extinguish the fire before the emergency services arrive.
