Warden Equipment Provision
Please use contact the Emergency Management Coordinator to
request some of these equipment items. Items issued by the Emergency
Management Coordinator are free to authorised Wardens. Usually it is
the BEC who requests equipment for their Wardens. All equipment remains
the property of the University and must be returned if you leave your
position as a Warden.
Wardens Equipment Checklist
- Identification helmet as per AS 3645
- Torch for use in case of a blackout (optional)
- List of employees in your area (if practical) to assist in accounting
for people at the Assembly Area (optional)

Building Emergency Controller (B.E.C.)
Helmet
Standard safety helmet, white in colour with "BEC Warden"
stickers on each side and the University Crest on the front. One
size fits all with an adjustable harness inside. Comes with stickers |

Floor Warden Helmet
Standard safety helmet, yellow in colour with "Warden"
stickers on each side and the University Crest on the front. One
size fits all with an adjustable harness inside. Comes with stickers.
In some campuses the Warden helmet is RED. This is ok as the Australian
Standard allows the yellow and red helmets to be interchangeable. |

ERT Safety Helmet
Standard safety helmet, white in colour with "ERT"
and "Team Name" stickers on each side and the University
Crest on the front. One size fits all with an adjustable harness
inside. Comes with stickers. |

First Aid Helmet
Standard safety helmet, green in colour with "First Aid"
stickers on each side and the University Crest on the front. One
size fits all with an adjustable harness inside. Comes with stickers. |

Warden Helmet Stickers
Some Wardens have helmets without the "Warden" stickers
on them. Please order these stickers to bring your helmet up to
the University standard. There are no "Deputy" stickers
for either the BEC or Floor Wardens. |
