8th Jan to 18th Jan 2005 - Gate Closures

Between the 8th and 18th of January 2005 inclusive at the Parkville Campus the gates providing access to the University from the Swanston Street side will be not accessible due to work on the tram lines by Yarra Trams. Emergency vehicle access for Tin Alley should be via Gate 14. Gate 14 is protected by bollards which will be removed manually when a call is received.

15th July 2004 - Emergency Management Desktop Exercise

A desktop exercise was held in our Emergency Operations Centre to exercise the Emergency Response Group (ERG) with a simulated chemical explosion in the Chemistry building. Players called in situation reports and acted as media, parents, staff and students adding to the realism. The exercise was a success allowing the ERG to work through problems and manage the emergency from the University perspective. Special thanks to the Police who also attended.
